General Use
Please only post in English. All non-English posts will be removed without prior notice.

Foul/Obscure language is not permitted on The Trading Forums. Members found to be using such language will receive a formal warning.

The Trading Forums is a place for users to come and discuss all aspects of the trading business, nothing else! Anything off-topic must go in the off-topic section.
Users must not access the forums through anonymous proxy servers. Members found to be doing so will result in a formal warning.

The Private Message system is integrated into these forums for direct contact with another member.
This system has been disabled for all members with less than 20 posts.
Members may not use it:
- as a sales platform unless they are a registered seller
- to send spam
- to abuse other members

Members found to be abusing the Private Message system will receive a formal warning.

Members must not post material which is protected under copyright laws, without attaining permission from the copyright holder. Any such content will be immediately removed, and the member will be given a formal warning.

Selling on the Forum
To sell on The Trading Forums you must purchase a selling membership.
We sometimes hold special promotions, where this membership is offered at a discounted price or even sometimes for free!
All our sellers are put through a verification process before they are allowed to sell.
Selling without a membership makes you liable to a permanent ban, and all your sales posts being deleted.

Signatures
The use of signatures is optional.

The use of only black, regular text and hyperlinks is permitted. Colours/images are only permitted for registered advertisers.

All signatures must
- be set up through the User Control Panel and not added to the bottom of every post.
- include a maximum of FOUR clickable links
- not be offered for sale or rent.

Email Addresses
Please make sure any email addresses you type in the forum are in the following format:
adminATthetradingforums.com (ie. replace @ with AT)

By typing in the standard format, you will receive a lot of spam because spambots crawl the internet looking for address to collect. When the bots find email addresses on the forum, they tend to alert other spambots. The bots go towards the visitor count, and have a huge impact on the forum's performance. By typing your email address in the suggested format, you will help optimise the forum's performance.

Any email addresses found in standard format, will be removed, and you will be given a warning. If you ignore the warning, and continue to type in standard format, you will be given an infraction, which may count towards an eventual ban.

Referral/Affiliate Links
Referral/Affiliate links may be used in general with the following guidelines:
- members must state that the link is a referral link, and must also include a normal link within the post.
- Hyperlinked referral/affiliate images are not permitted.
- Signatures can include a maximum of 1 referral/affiliate link

Inappropriate Material
In order to prevent legal action of any kind being taken against The Trading Forums, the posting of inappropriate material is not permitted. This includes:
- Provoking other members to break the forum rules (i.e. use foul language)
- Xenophobia, racism or personal abuse directed at other members.
- Pornographic material, or links to other sites affiliated with this material
- The discussion of illegal activities designed to evade copyright law, including linking to sites affiliated with P2P software, mod chips, and unlicensed software.
- Commercial advertising, or the promotion of your own site if not a TTF Registered Seller ("also know as spamming")
- Posting material about possible competition for these forums, including but not limited to, posting about your own forum related to trading or general business.
- Posting referral or affiliate links.
- Promoting pyramid, referral or other illegal money schemes.
- Asking for material which breaks forum rules to be sent to you via Private Message or Email

Complaints
Members who have complaints must contact a moderator or administrator PRIVATELY using the Private Message system. Complaint posts on the public forum will be removed immediately.

Your Privacy
When you register, your details are sent to our database. We do not share this information with any third parties.
We reserve the right to pass on your details to legal authorities in the event of legal action being taken against your activities on the forums.
